Deprecation policy

How Relixr retires model ids and API surfaces, with changelog tags.

Principles

1. Prefer aliases over hard breaks when renaming public model ids (e.g. community rename).
2. Changelog entries tagged breaking call out customer-visible removals.
3. Gateway may send Deprecation and Sunset headers for retired model ids during the notice window.
4. Key prefix migration (nf_live_ → rlx_) keeps dual-accept for ~90 days.

What we do not break silently

• Public base URL for customers (https://api.relixr.com/v1)
• OpenAI-compatible chat completions shape for supported features listed in Compatibility
